Despite multiple shock tests, the Sonim XP3.2 still breaks

The Sonim XP3.2 Quest Pro is supposed to be one durable camera. Not only can it take a hit, but it can take a swim.

However, BBC reporter Dan Simmons somehow broke the Sonim XP3.2 at CES 2010. All it took was bashing it against an aquarium that the XP3.2 had been soaking in. Seriously, that’s all it took. This phone has survived a lot more including a 14.5 foot drop to a concrete floor, and trial by hammer and nail.

Just because something breaks easily doesn’t mean that it should be abandoned. I think we all know that anything will break if you just hit it right. Clearly, you can hit the Sonim XP3.2 right.

What some extra screen? Get yourself a Cinq!

I don’t know about you, but no matter how big of a laptop I own, I always run out of screen space. I suppose this is why the Cinq was invented.

The Cinq is just a 10-inch USB monitor that is designed to hang on to the right side of your screen, so you can have some extra room to work. It even comes with an SD card reader, which makes it even better. You should be able to purchase this in the third quarter of 2010 for about $249.

The Hug can then “embrace” the iPhone, closing it in completely. You can use the camera if you want to, but otherwise, it is just another layer of protection. You should be able to purchase the Hug sometime in mid-February, for a price of just $90.

Calling the next iPhone 4G is not really surprising. In fact, as early as now, many people are calling it that. But while people could care less of what the next iPhone would be called, the important thing is figuring out when it will be coming out. Will it be out by June?

Rumors flying in Korea are pointing to a potential launch in June. Among the features being spilled this early include a 2 camera module for video calling, improved battery life and something about a TV service. Would Apple care to change the name? We will find out in 5 months time (if rumors are true!)
