Sony unveils a new eco-friendly batch of mininotebooks with the launch of the VAIO W Series. They are light, compact and cover environmental issues such as energy efficiency and a 10% reduction on CO2 emission during production thanks to the use of recycled plastics.
The VAIO W Series Eco Edition features an Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 250GB HDD and comes loaded with a genuine Windows 7 Starter Edition OS. It sports a 10.1” LED backlit LCD display and assures customers of no environmentally-harmful mercury. Battery life is good for 8.5 hours of use which should cover your worries about how long you can use it without plugging in to standard electric sockets. The VAIO W Series Eco Edition notebooks will be available this coming February.
