Buffalo Dualie is a dock for hard drive and iPhone

I think there is a rule of electronics that says that if you are going to make a product that does something, then you should make it do something else as well.

Case in point, the Buffalo Dualie. Not only is it an iPhone dock, but it has a 500GB hard drive with it. Keeping the Dualie by your laptop or desktop will make certain that you have a few more USB ports as well. You can get the Dualie at the Apple Store for about $250.

Google Nexus Two pictured?

Renders of a device called the Motorola Shadow have appeared today followed by some pretty interesting rumors. While the Shadow looks to me a sort of Droid successor, sources our telling us that this will infact be the Google Nexus Two.

If true, this means that we will be seeing this device sold straight from Google unlocked. Unfortunately we have no word on its specs or anything of the sort other than the obvious fact that it features a touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keyboard and presumably the Android OS.

We’ll keep you posted as this one unfolds.

Apple requets Nokia phone import ban

It seems that Apple is mirroring Nokia’s tactics, after Nokia demanded a sale ban on iPhones over patents which Nokia holds, Apple has now done the same, filing a complaint with the International Trade Commission, seeking an embargo on Nokia’s phones. Their reason? Unknown. Stalling perhaps? An average ITC investigation takes over a year, so there’s enough time for both Nokia and Apple to prepare their case.

New “Shake Me” to Shut Up Feature for Phones

At times, we are often told to put our mobile phones on silent especially when we are in meetings, talks or at church. Most people often overlook this responsibility, adding disturbance and eventual embarrassment in the eyes of people. But thanks to this new system, you simply have to "whack" your phone and it will shut up!

When you hear it ring, simply whack it and it will stop ringing. A cool feature for people who are not to attentive when it comes to placing their phones on silent mode when needed.

Textecution can prevent texting while driving

I’m sure we all know that texting while driving is slowly killing our young, and it should be no surprise that companies are coming out with applications to prevent texting while driving accidents from occurring.

For example, Textecution, an Android app that parents can install in their children’s phones. Textecution is designed to shut down texting send and receive functions if the phone is moving at 10 miles per hour or more.

Yes, that doesn’t help a kid if he or she is a passenger in a vehicle and wants to send an important text message, but it is a step in the right direction for preventing accidents, isn’t it?
