Dell Adamo priced dropped to $1,000



Remember when Dell decided to drop the price of their Adamo notebook to $1,500? Well, that was back in July 2009, and on January 2010 they have decided to drop the price once again and now costs only $999.

In case you are wondering, the Adamo notebook comes with a 13.4-inch display, an intel Core 2 Duo processor at 1.4GHz, and only 2GB of DDR3 RAM memory. The best part is probably the 129GB SolidState drive, and the more normal GMA 4500 graphics adapter.

The top model of the Adamo series, also known as Desire is now valued at $1,800 instead of $2,300.


Ainol V8000HDV – New PMP



A popular Chinese company named Ainol has recently released a new PMP – portable media player – which supports 1280p.

The V8000HDV has a 4.3-inch screen that provides a resolution of 800×480, but thanks to the HDMI out you can easily check the content on a 1280p HD screen. The device has 16GB of internal flash memory that can be used, and thankfully it can playback a lot of different format files, here is a small list: AVI, RMVBwith SRT subtitles, and TS, AVI, MP4, MPG, MKV, PSP, DAT, VOB.

The Ainol V8000HDV costs close to $150.


Panasonic Let’s Note N9 notebook



In addition to the S9 and F9, the last notebook updated by Panasonic was the N9 notebook. This is the less expensive of the 3 models with a price ranging the $2,000.

In the inside of the Let’s Note N9 you can find the same processor as all the others, a Core i5-520M and the memory RAM can have 2GB or 4GB – your choice. The extras remain the same as the other series: WiFi, HDMI output, WiMax, etc..

The weight of the Let’s Note N9 is cllose to 1,26kg – not bad…


Panasonic Let’s Note S9 laptop



Besides the F9 presented by Panasonic, the other model which was unveiled is the S9 series. In this case you get a 12.1-inch display screen and the same processor, an Intel Core i5-520.

The battery life of the S9 can last up to 14 hours and its weight is 1.32 kg. The extras on this laptop include 3 USB ports, WiFi, Eimax, HDMI output, Ethernet, and lastly, a slot for SD memory cards.

The price tag of the Panasonic Let’s Note S9 is also close to $2,400.


Panasonic Let’s Note F9 laptop



Panasonic has recently update the Let’s Note PC and one of the models with new specs is the F9.

The Panasonic Let’s Note F9 boasts a 14.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1440×900 pixels, and comes with the latest Intel Core i5-520M processor, as well as a Mobile Intel QM57 Express Chipset. As for the memory RAM, it is set between 2GB and 4GB off DDR3 SDRAM, and the hard-drive has 250 of space.

The operative system is Windows 7 Professional and pre-installed you get the Office 2007. Priced at approximately $2,400.


Ovi Suite 2.1 Beta updated



The Ovi Suite 2.1 Beta was presented and available to the public 1 week ago, but yesterday it received an update which fixes some important bugs and fixes.

Some of the important fixes include: support for Thunderbird 3.0; errors when viewing maps and synching the calendar have been fixed as well; the video support stability has been resolved too.
- Fix for SIS application installation (double clicking SIS now works properly and starts installation procedure into device).
- Many fixes to Nokia Ovi Suite UI localizations (languages).
