Microsoft creating a Surface for Mobiles?

I’ve always wanted one of those Microsoft Surface tables for my own, but as you all know they come with a huge pricetag. Fortunately, Microsoft might be working on a more affordable model with this portable job that you see in the photo.
Unlike the touchscreen of the coffee-table sized Surface, this one uses projection technology and presumably some advanced sensors. I am assuming that in order to turn a coffee table into a touchscreen, you will need some interesting tech to do it.
Microsoft plans to demo this “Mobile Surface” at TechFest 2010.

Buggaty Car Shaped Phone for $200

Here is a candybar mobile phone that takes an odd shape. This is a Bugatty car shaped phone which can be yours for only $200. It comes with the usual basic features although if you associate it with an authentic Bugatti Veyron, it is nowhere near the million dollar price tag this vehicle has been known for.
It doesn’t include warranty and comes from China. If you are willing to take the risk in this phone which seems to satisfy unique phones then by all means take it. Otherwise, move on to another handset, something like the new phones from Nokia or even the Google Nexus One!

JXD Venus A30 tablet

In case you enjoyed the PMP – portable media player – JXD V3 that we mentioned a few weeks ago, you will most probably enjoy this tablet as well. It is codenamed Venus A30 and so far it doesn’t have a price tag.

In terms of specifications the JXD Venus A30 can playback a lot of different format files, be it music or video, including FLAC, MOV, VOB, MP4, RM, FLV, and others. One feature that most people would expect from a device like this is WiFi, but sadly the Venus A30 doesn’t have the wireless connection that many would use. Other features include 768p video playback support, and HDMI out.

Any similarities to the iPad is only a coincidence…

LG Watch Phone for India

Our neighbouring country India is way ahead of us in terms of technology,I know it's argueable but at least the news i am going to share with you will prove my words.

LG has just decided to sell their watch phone in India. Sadly the price is a bit high, approximately $1,000 if my calculations are correct. Anyhow, this LG Watch Phone is the first in the world which is compatible with a 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA network. It is pretty similar to another LG Watch that was presented last year at CES.

In terms of technical features it has a built-in camera so you can perform video calls, and it comes with a bluetooth headset. It is only 13.mm thin and boasts a high quality metal case.

Samsung shows off 4GB DDR3 RAM modules

I recently purchased my Acer e-Machines Laptop and it came with 2 GB RAM,I am more than satisfied but i don't know about you that how much RAM does your laptop or notebook have, if you own one? Probably no where near 8GB because no netbooks currently ship with that. However, Samsung has just debuted some 4GB DDR3 RAM sticks that could see their way into netbooks at some point in the future.

Of course, due to their recent debut and unknown release date, their price tags will surely be astronomical.

Microsoft has 3 under 30$ Blue Track mice

Mouse technology has progressed over the years from the trackball to optical to laser and now to Microsoft’s BlueTrack technology. This is the technology that allows you to use a super accurate mouse even on a glass surface. However, just like all new technologies, BlueTrack mice have been out of reach for some consumers due to their price.

Luckily, Microsoft has just announced the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500, Wireless Mouse 2000 and Comfort Mouse 4500. All 3 of these mice clock in at under $30 putting them right in range for most consumers looking for a high quality mouse without breaking the bank.

You can pre-order all of these mice now with the Comfort Mouse 4500 and Wireless Mouse 2000 being released next month while the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 won’t hit store shelves until April.

LG enV Touch Cell Phone Review–Loads of Surprises

I got a lot of surprises out of the LG enV Touch, which is why I’m pretty excited to be talking about it today.  It takes a lot to surprise me these days, and when something actually CAN excite me, well, that’s just a good sign all around.

The LG enV Touch comes with voice dialing capability, conference call capability, voice recorder, speakerphone, Bluetooth capability, E911 capability, a phone book with capacity for a thousand name and number records, mobile email, internet browser, compatibility with a variety of video and audio formats, a 3.2 megapixel camera, alarm clock, calendar, basic calculator, stopwatch, hearing aid compatibility and a battery capable of generating four hours and twenty minutes of talk time on a single charge.

It’s a strange sort of flip phone hybrid with a touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard.  The menu is one of the most unique I’ve come in contact with in some time and I don’t remember the last time I saw a Resident Evil game demo on a cell phone.  Frankly, until my time with the LG enV Touch, I didn’t think that Resident Evil was available on a cell phone.

A phone that can surprise me, after all the models I come in contact with, is a rare treat that should be savored, and thus, I call the LG enV Touch, a phone that surprised me, a pretty nice phone.

The Good

Unique design

Solid amount and variety of features

Lots of unexpected twists

The Bad

Some ignored features

You’ve got to like these new Gelaskins designed from National Geographic. I mean, not only does this one show the awesome majesty of the universe, but other models are available as well.

These Gelaskins are available for all types of mobile devices, such as iPods, iPhones, Kindles, Nooks, not to mention MacBooks and laptops. No word on these beautiful skins for the iPad, but I don’t see why not. Prices will vary.

Grooveshark app for webOS

Groovershark is a popular online music service that provides access to a big number of songs, and recently they have announced the launch of a native application for webOS. As you might already know this is not the first online music service for WebOS owners, but it is always nice to have an alternative.

The Grooveshar will become available at the App Catalog in the upcoming weeks, and Palm Pre owners as well as Pixi owners will have access to it very soon too.

Bell to offer Mobile TV for iPhone users

Bell has announced that will start offering Mobile TV for its iPhone users, which I consider to be a nice tactic to make itself different from the rest, and overall provides a special “feeling”. Anyhow, the networks available for Bell users include CBC News, CTV, Rogers SportsNet, Weather Channel, and a few live NHL games.

In terms of price the Mobile TV will cost $8 per month and there is a one time $10 payment that needs to be done. Sadly the service is only available in case you are using a 3G network, but it is still a nice offer when comparing what other carriers provide…

T-Mobile: Buy 1 cellphone, get another for free

T-Mobile recently had a generous Valentine’s Day promotion in which they offered a cellphone for free in case you purchased a new one. It looks like that campaign was a success because they are expanding it, which means the promotion will continue in the upcoming days.

So far there aren’t any exact details about the cellphones you can get for free, but it will most probably be the same as you purchase, or a less expensive one. The promotion is expected to be available until the 3rd of March so pay attention if you want a free mobile phone.

Spring announces new WiMax Markets

Sprint has announced a few new markets that will boast its WiMax network in the near future, these locations include Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. Taking in consideration that Sprint already offers WiMax in 27 markets, I’d say this is a pretty good addition.

At the moment there is no exact information about the “release date” or number of WiMax in the new markets, but Sprint expects to have 120 million users at the end of 2010. Their actual WiMax plan costs $60 and includes access to 3G/4G networks.

MSI to unveil new gaming laptop GT660 at CeBIT

Looks like LG isn’t the only ones rolling out stuff at CeBIT, and we should not be surprised that MSI is doing something too.

It looks like another gaming laptop called GT660. It has a quad-core Core i7 processor, GeForce GTX 285M, and, believe it or not, USB 3.0 ports.

We’ll be seeing it at CeBIT come next week.

MagiTact allows for gesture-based experience with your mobile

Some company known as Deutsche Telekom is working on an application known as MagiTact. This program allows for gesture-based interference with your iPhone.

It does so using the iPhone’s compass, and the user has to wear specialized magnetic rings so that the phone knows where the gestures are. This means that you can terminate a call with a wave of your finger.

Is this some sort of new trend that will be on cellular phones? Who knows.

Neonoda zForce Pad

About two years ago, I was introduced to Neonode’s N2 cell phone. This tiny touchscreen phone never did hit the market in the US (at least), but they have still been busy.

Most recently, they have been playing around with the zForce Pad, which has a non-resistive, non-capacitive touchscreen.

Do I really need to let you know what it is up against if it ever gets released?

Stethoscope App for the iPhone

Imagine going to the doctor, and when he or she says: “I need to hear your heartbeat”, he or she pulls out an iPhone.

Yes, it is dawning of a new age, and this iPhone app is capable of reading a hearbeat, with graphics, to boot. In fact, you can buy your own version of this iStethoscope for $69.99, and the apparatus to read it for $279.99.

Okay, that is a little expensive, but you can’t email your heartbeat to your doctor with an ordinary stethoscope, can you?

Lenovo Mini Wireless Keyboard,on Brando

This isn’t the first time that I’ve reported on a Brando product, but this is the first time that I’ve see the company distribute something from a bigger company like Lenovo. This is an HTPC-friendly Mini Wireless Keyboard that is up there with the MSI.

The device links with a 2.4GHz wireless connection, and has a trackball with a thumb keyboard. It has a range of 30 feet, and is good for any media center that runs on a PC. It connects via USB receiver, and runs on two AAA batteries.

You can get this at Brando’s site for just $60.
